West Ham United clashed heads with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park earlier today as they hoped to earn a good result on the road in the Premier League. The Hammers made a horror start to the game as they conceded the opening goal in the seventh minute when Michael Olise got his name on the scoresheet. Eberechi Eze doubled his team’s lead in the 16th minute before Emerson Palmieri scored an unfortunate own goal just four minutes later. Jean-Phillipe Mateta put Crystal Palace 4-0 ahead in the 31st minute but Michail Antonio got a goal back for the visitors just nine minutes later. David Moyes’ men went into the half-time break 4-1 down on the scoreline.

Mateta scored again for Palace in the 64th minute before Dean Henderson scored an unfortunate own goal late in the game. The London derby finished with West Ham suffering a poor 5-2 loss away from home.
