The son of AC Milan director Zvonomir Boban has insisted that the players are not to blame for the recent struggles but rather Marco Giampaolo.
The Rossoneri have made their worst start to a Serie A campaign in over 80 years, losing four of their first six games and currently sitting just one point above the bottom three.
Speculation is rife that Saturday’s trip to face Genoa represents a do-or-die game for Giampaolo, with a number of names already linked as possible replacements.
The likes of Rudi Garcia, Andriy Shevchenko, Gennaro Gattuso, Roberto Donadoni and Claudio Ranieri have all been tipped to take over – as have Max Allegri and Luciano Spalletti.
Now, Rafael Boban – the son of Zvonimir – has added more fuel to the fire on his Instagram account, answering some questions from Milan fans.
As per Calciomercato.com, he replied to the #giampaoloout hashtag with: “We’ll see what happens” – and on Allegri he added: “He’s very strong”.
He also fired a shot at Giampaolo for good measure: “If the problem is the coach or the players? We have great quality players, I think the problem is the coach.”
