Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels has recently been talking about teammate and reported Liverpool target Jude Bellingham.
The centre-back and midfielder have been teammates for two years now.
Hummels said that Bellingham is a very mature 18-year-old. The 32-year-old further added that the youngster is someone who leads the way at Borussia Dortmund.
“He is the most mature 18-year-old player I have ever seen,” Hummels told DAZN, as quoted by the Daily Mail.
“Jude is already someone who leads the way and also one of the loudest in the team. He’s a great kid. I think I’ve told him about 25 times now that I love him.”
ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT
We do hope that Liverpool make a move for Bellingham at some point, and we will explain why.
Bellingham is a talented footballer. The midfielder has found the back of the net six times and registered eight assists in 54 appearances for Borussia Dortmund’s first-team.
Bellingham has also made eight appearances for England’s senior team. The Englishman has achieved quite a fair bit for someone who is only 18 years of age.
Hummels comments highlight that Bellingham is a confident young player. Therefore, we believe that he would be able to deal with the pressure of playing for a big club like Liverpool.
Bellingham’s contract expires in June 2025. Therefore, a free transfer is off the cards for the time being.
Bellingham possesses a current market value of €55 million.
