According to Fabrizio Romano, the well-placed transfer-gossip journalist, clubs are starting to express an interest in Bukayo Saka, which isn’t surprising, but still not something you want to hear.

Arsenal won’t entertain any offers for Bukayo Saka, as they see him as the future of the club.

We all know that, but how many of us can be certain that if an offer for £150m came in for him, Arsenal wouldn’t be tempted to cash in?

Saka signed a new Arsenal contract last summer, tying him to Arsenal until 2024, giving him a payrise from £3kpw to £30kpw and the number 7 shirt.

“I want to talk about Bukayo Saka, because some clubs are starting to approach Bukayo Saka, to watch Saka as one of the best players in his position for the future,” Fabrizio Romano said on his ‘Here we go‘ podcast.

“Some clubs, they are not making bids or anything, but they are asking about the contract and everything.

“Arsenal considers this player untouchable. He is a player for the present and the future, and Arsenal are planning on building on Saka for the future,” Romano added.

Last season, Saka made 46 appearances for Arsenal, scoring seven and assisting 10. He averaged a goal or assist every 2.3 matches.

After a busy summer, Saka has been eased back into life at Arsenal, playing the full 90 only once in the league this season so far (against Norwich in the last match).
