“Paul has been in the spotlight ever since he started at United, so I don’t see a problem with it,” Solskjaer told reporters when asked about the upcoming documentary, as per ESPN.
“Paul’s main focus is to get as much out of his career as possible. He wants to be the best player he can be and he wants to win as many trophies as possible.
“He’s already won the World Cup and I can see his focus now is all about winning and playing the best possible football he can. I know his personality. He’s so lively, gets energy from making people happy. But his main focus will always be to win games for us.”
Earlier in the week I said I thought we were getting hints about Pogba staying put at United this summer, presumably with a brand new deal on the cards. His contract expires in 2022 and while it’s been an injury-hit season, Pogba has managed three goals and three assists in the Premier League.
United, who are currently second in the league with 63 points from 31 games, have welcomed Pogba back after a month out with a thigh problem and he’s hit the ground running.
On top of that, Pogba could win silverware at United this season, in the shape of the Europa League – a feat the Frenchman achieved at the club under Jose Mourinho in 2017.
The documentary, which has been dubbed a ‘Pogmentary’ by producers, will focus on the man himself, showing his life on and off the pitch.
Amazon Prime’s Paul Pogba documentary is set for a UK release in 2022, but we are no sure yet on a specific date.
You will need an Amazon Prime Video subscription.
A subscription costs £7.99 a month or £79-per-year.
Among the Amazon Originals football documentaries are the All or Nothing series, which has featured Manchester City, Tottenham and Brazil, with new films focusing on Bayern Munich and Juventus planned in 2021.
They also have plans to film a documentary on Real Madrid and Spain defender Sergio Ramos, and we can’t forget the documentary coming this year on Sir Alex Ferguson too.
No trailer has been released yet.
