Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has praised Mason Greenwood’s form and has revealed Amad Diallo and Shola Shoretire could feature for Manchester United against Leicester tomorrow.

United face Leicester in the Premier League tomorrow evening, the third of four fixtures in just eight days for the Red Devils with a huge clash against Liverpool to come on Thursday at Old Trafford.

The latter fixture has been rearranged after initially being postponed amid fan protests and the congested nature of the scheduling has been criticised by Solskjaer, who has suggested he will look to rotate his options this week.

Two players who could feature against the Foxes tomorrow are youngsters Diallo and Shoretire, with Solskjaer revealing the teenagers are in contention to face Brendan Rodgers’ top-four chasing side.

“They’re in contention [Amad and Shoretire] yeah, definitely and they’re in the first team squad, they’re training with us every day so I would think that some of the young boys will get an appearance definitely,” Solskjaer told his pre-match press conference.

”If it’s coming on towards the end or if it’s starting I don’t know because I don’t know how the players will be on Tuesday when we see them.”

Solskjaer also reserved praise for Mason Greenwood, who has hit a rich vein of form in recent weeks with five goals in his past five league appearances.

The 19-year-old scored his 16th league goal for the Red Devils against Aston Villa on Sunday, becoming the club’s highest scoring teenager of the Premier League era.

Solskjaer was delighted with the forward’s performance and goal following the win and believes Greenwood is getting back to his ‘goalscoring best’ after a challenging second season in the senior side.

”The kid just turns the game around in one split second and the goal today was excellent, so I’m delighted that he’s got back to his goalscoring best and is learning more and more all the other bits as well.”
