United welcome the Turkish champions to Old Trafford and there’s a familiar face facing us, as far as manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is concerned.
Fredik Gulbrandsen played under Solskjaer at Molde and the boss knows all about the forward’s qualities.
Speaking to the media on Monday afternoon, Solskjaer dropped a hint that he will be making each of his players wary of Gulbrandsen’s qualities.
“Well obviously I prepared a team last time, last time Demba Ba was the most likely to play but I warned my coaches about Frederik,” Solskjaer said, as per Manchester Evening News. “Quick, strong, that’s the player I know.”
Although this is in the Champions League, United expect to be facing stronger opposition than Basaksehir in the Champions League. Most teams have better players than the Turkish outfit let alone Gulbrandsen.
But if we did like we did out in Turkey three weeks there’s bound to be complications.
We were guilty of making 35-year-old Demba Ba look like prime Demba Ba when he ran an entire half of the pitch and put the ball past Dean Henderson.
That can’t happen again tomorrow night!
