Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has issued an update on Paul Pogba’s future amid rumours linking him with a move to Paris Saint-Germain. The Frenchman has one year remaining on his current deal at Old Trafford and has been vocal with his desire to leave the club since 2018.

The 28-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain this summer, even to the point where PSG players have endorsed a transfer publicly. Midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum stated that he would ‘love’ to have Pogba with him in Paris.

Reports of a potential move have, however, not been well received by some parts of the PSG support. A banner was unveiled outside Parc des Princes earlier on Saturday urging the France international to not join the club.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer provided an update on the situation after United’s 4-2 loss to Queens Park Rangers on Saturday, insisting that rumours surrounding his future are expected at this point.

“There’s always speculation about Paul,” Solskjaer is quoted as saying by the Manchester Evening News. “The talks between Paul and his representatives, I’m not in the detail of every single one, I’ve got nothing to say really, about that.

“There’s always speculation about Paul and always clubs being interested and we’ve seen Paul at his best, Paul knows what we feel about it and I’ve enjoyed my time working with him and hopefully we can continue working together.”
