Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is convinced they're on the brink of big things this season.

Solskjaer has overseen the arrivals of Tom Heaton (Aston Villa), Jadon Sancho (Borussia Dortmund) and Raphael Varane (Real Madrid) so far this summer market.

He said, "I think we are developing and progressing. Last season was good, except for the fact that it did not work out to win the trophy.

"Everyone can see our progress. In the 2019/20 season, third place was a great achievement after all the changes we made.

"We tried to put together a new team. Of course, the arrival of Bruno Fernandes served as a catalyst for victories. Last season we were close to competing for the highest place. Now we need to take the next step. The main thing is to start the season well."
