For Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Tuesday night’s friendly against Kristiansund was always going to be special.
It was a homecoming for the man who, just 12 months ago, didn’t look close to being in the position he is now.
But the 1-0 win for United was made even more memorable when it turned into a family affair for the 46-year-old.
His son Noah is in the ranks at Kristiansund, who gave the 19-year-old his debut against his father’s club.
The midfielder, who has been likened to former United midfielder Michael Carrick, appeared as a second half substitute, in what was a touching moment for all concerned.
