Manchester United are back in action on Saturday and will face Leicester at the King Power Stadium, having failed to win their last two visits there.

Last season’s league encounter ended in a 2-2 draw, whilst the FA Cup meeting three months later saw Manchester United exit the tournament at the quarter-final stage.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be hoping to get his side back on track after failing to win their last two league games, both at Old Trafford.

Although Solskjaer named a strong side to start the game against Leicester, there are some notable absentees following this week’s international break. Fred and Edinson Cavani have both been left out of the squad after playing against each other in Brazil on Friday morning, whilst Raphael Varane sustained an injury in France’s UEFA Nations League final against Spain.

The manager has now revealed why Anthony Martial, who was United’s only goalscorer in the draw against Everton two weeks ago, has been left out of the game.

“He’s come back from France, not fit, so he’s not trained all week. Hopefully we can have him back soon,” Solskjaer is quoted as saying by the official Manchester United website.

Martial played no part in either of France’s games over the international break but is likely to make a return to the squad on Wednesday against Atalanta.
