AC Milan directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are continuing with the diktat from above that they must build the best squad available without pushing the wage budget too high.

As our colleagues at SempreMilan.it can reveal, Theo Hernandez and new signing Divock Origi are currently the highest earners at the club as each get €4m net per season, followed by Olivier Giroud and Ante Rebic who get €3.5m, as does Fikayo Tomori after renewed a few days ago until 2027.

Among the names at the bottom of the ranking that stands out is that of Zlatan Ibrahimovic whose salary of €1m net is six times lower than to what he got last season. Below is the list in full…

The deadlines

The longest contracts currently in place are those up to 2027 for Tomori, Pobega, De Ketelaere and Origi. Maignan, Gabbia, Theo Hernandez, Tonali, Saelemaekers and Adli all have deals which will expire in 2026.

The contractual situations linked to Rafael Leao and Ismael Bennacer (expiration 2024) must be addressed soon, while at the end of the current season the two strikers Giroud and Ibrahimovic will see their deals run out.
