The AC Milan Women are not done beefing up their squad, as they’ve apparently acquired another player. The player is forward Chanté Dompig, who will leave Empoli to join the Rossonere.

Dompig has been linked to Milan before, though it appears that the transfer initially stalled due to Dompig’s injury history. However, Milan feel that the Dutch forward can recover in time to play a vital part in their upcoming season.

As per Fbref, the forward has scored a total of ten goals and registered seven assists across two seasons with Empoli. She has been a thorn in Milan’s side in the past and will now add potency to their already lethal attack.

Dompig will replace the outgoing Nina Stapelfeldt, who will soon join Como. The Swiss striker has reportedly completed her medical with the team and will soon suit up for them. While the move to Como was initially a loan, Stapelfeldt’s transfer to the team is now permanent, as it was initially stalled over the outcome of Dompig’s move to Milan.

The Rossonere are currently in Kentucky competing in The Women’s Cup. They will play the tournament’s hosts, Racing Louisville, in the semi-final of the competition this Wednesday. Once the tournament is over, they will head back to Italy to prepare for next season, with Chanté Dompig among their ranks.
