The Czech club has turned down the Hammers' bid for their Senegalese defender, deeming it insufficient.

West Ham United will not be able to secure El Hadji Malick Diouf this summer—at least not at that price. Slavia Prague has rejected a €20 million offer from the English club, insisting it does not reflect the true value of the young Senegalese defender.
West Ham's bid for El Hadji Malick Diouf has been turned down by Slavia Prague. According to Fabrizio Romano, the London club tabled €20 million for the Senegalese left-back's transfer. However, the Prague management has firmly declined the Hammers' proposal, believing their player's valuation far exceeds the offer.
Arriving in the Czech Republic in January 2024 from Tromsø IL, the 20-year-old defender quickly earned the coaching staff's trust and established himself as a key figure in the club's tactical setup. To date, he has made 50 appearances for the reigning Fortuna Liga champions, scoring 9 goals and providing 5 assists.
Aware of the growing interest in their player, Slavia's management is in no rush to sell. The club wants to maximize the return on the Dakar-born talent, who is under contract until 2028. Behind the scenes, the Czech directors are targeting a much higher fee than what the Hammers offered, especially after Diouf's impressive performances last season for both club and country.
