After the dismissal of Jacek Magiera on Tuesday, Śląsk Wrocław moved quickly to appoint Piotr Tworek as their new manager. The 46-year-old was confirmed by the club on Wednesday afternoon.

Tworek’s most recent position was at fellow Ekstraklasa side Warta Poznań. He led them to promotion to the top flight in 2020, but was dismissed in late October due to a string of bad results. He has also coached Zawisza Bydgoszcz and Kotwica Kołobrzeg, and has assisted at various other clubs.
The coach has signed a deal to lead Śląsk until June 2023, and will lead the side in this weekend’s match against Radomiak Radom.
