David Prutton believes Cardiff City’s misery will continue at Hull City tomorrow afternoon, predicting a 2-0 loss for the Bluebirds at the MKM Stadium in his Sky Sports column.

The Welsh outfit aren’t in great shape at this stage, losing Sabri Lamouchi’s first game in charge at Luton Town following a dire spell under the former Nottingham Forest manager’s predecessor Mark Hudson.

Failing to win a single league game since the early stages of November, they are just three points above the drop zone at this stage and are in real danger of falling into the bottom three with Huddersfield Town and Blackpool having games in hand over them.

In what year were Hull formed?

1904 1914 1924 1934

They face a Hull team who won’t be short of confidence following an emphatic 3-0 victory against Queens Park Rangers last weekend, with Aaron Connolly hoping to be in and amongst the goals again after claiming a brace against Neil Critchley’s side.

Their home form hasn’t been great this season – but they will be confident of securing three points tomorrow afternoon against a side who are in a desperate situation at this point.

Not only is pundit Prutton backing the Tigers to secure a victory – but he also believes they will keep a clean sheet with the Sky Sports presenter predicting a 2-0 home win.

The Verdict:

Although the Tigers have shed quite a few players in recent weeks, they still have a decent number of options at their disposal and their depth could potentially pay dividends for them again tomorrow afternoon.

As previously mentioned, Rosenior’s side will be full of confidence following their win against QPR and you feel that game and tomorrow’s match could be the start of a promising run for the East Yorkshire side.

Cardiff, on the other hand, just need to focus on survival as they continue to endure a poor campaign, with their inability to score causing them problems this term.

It would have been a real positive if they had managed to get themselves on the scoresheet at Kenilworth Road because of this – but they can at least be thankful that they weren’t hammered by Rob Edwards’ side.

It’s just a shame that they aren’t at home in this game – because they could have benefitted from having the home crowd behind them during the early stages of Lamouchi’s tenure.

There should be optimism at the Cardiff City Stadium though following this appointment, with Sol Bamba likely to have a positive influence behind the scenes.
