Chelsea have already secured their first summer signing with Liam Delap set to undergo his medical on Sunday, but the club are still looking for a centre back and right footed attacker.

Chelsea like Branthwaite, Hato and Guehi

With a striker secured the Blues can turn their attention to the other end of the pitch, and there’s set to be plenty of movement at centre back.

Renato Veiga, Axel Disasi and Trevoh Chalobah are reportedly likely targets to leave, whilst Chelsea had identified Dean Huijsen as their main target, but the 20-year-old opted to join Real Madrid.

The Blues have a list of targets and Sky Sports have reported Chelsea want to sign another young centre back, with Guehi, Hato and Branthwaite players they like.

Chelsea are said to be considering an approach for Guehi, and they sold the 24-year-old to Crystal Palace in 2021 for £18m.

Hato is thought to be valued at around €55m and would provide much needed back-up to Marc Cucurella, but the Blues will need to act fast with Liverpool also said to be interested in the Ajax teenager.

Mamadou Sarr to arrive from Strasbourg

There’s already one centre back arriving this summer in Mamadou Sarr after they agreed a deal with Strasbourg in January.

The 19-year-old could make his debut at the Club World Cup later this month, but it’s unclear what Chelsea’s plans are for the youngster next season.

The Blues have so many centre backs on their books, and the picture will only become clearer once it’s been decided who will leave.
