Arsenal appear to be done with business for the 2024 summer transfer window following the deals for Spanish goalkeeper David Raya, Italian defender Riccardo Calafiori and Spanish midfielder Mikel Merino, with an announcement expected to be made for Bournemouth goalkeeper Neto later today following his medical earlier.

However, nothing can be ruled out with Chelsea attacking midfielder Raheem Sterling linked with a move to the North London club.

Arsenal fans are hoping their forward ranks are bolstered before the 11 pm deadline today, and Bukayo Saka also wants to know if the Gunners will be signing any player.

The England international jokingly asked Sky Sports reporter Gary Cotterill who Arsenal are signing following speculation surrounding the potential arrival of Sterling, and the journalist had this to say.

The North London club have been linked with the likes of Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman and Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams in recent days.

However, none will be joining Arsenal today, with the Nigerian likely to leave the Serie A club for Saudi Pro League club Al-Ahli or Chelsea, with talks over personal demands delaying his choice.

The Gunners cannot afford to pay anything close to the €40 million-per-year wages the Saudi side are offering Osimhen, and the €80m Napoli want could be too much for them after the money they have spent so far this summer.

Arsenal also looked into signing Bayern Munich forward Kingsley Coman, but the France international will remain in the Bundesliga beyond this summer.

The Gunners will fancy their chances of challenging strongly across all competitions with their current squad, and will decide in January whether they need further reinforcements heading into the second half of 2024-25.
