According to Sky Sports, Chelsea are still interested in signing a top Premier League attacker even after securing Joao Pedro and Jamie Gittens!
Chelsea beat Benfica in the first set of knockout rounds in the Club World Cup on Saturday night, but it was far from easy and also, very far from drama!
Enzo Maresca labelled it a joke that the game got suspended for two hours due to sever weather conditions and slammed the tournament location as a result, and he really does have a point here.
And then came a flurry of late goal with Benfica equalising deep into stoppage time through a penalty to send it into extra time. Chelsea then bagged a bunch of goals to go on and win the game before it got to penalties!
The Blues are working on more transfer deals and getting bits done as they look to sign more new players as well as sell some too.
This week things have picked up a bit and moved on, and they are on the verge of announcing a couple of new signings in the shape of Jamie Gittens of Dortmund, and Joao Pedro of Brighton, both now being done deals.
Despite already agreeing deals to sign Gittens and Pedro, Chelsea still want to sign Mohammed Kudus from West Ham, per the latest report from Sky Sports.
They report that Chelsea are still interested in Kudus despite having agreed deals for Joao Pedro and Jamie Gittens.
They are monitoring Kudus’ situation closely with Tottenham and Newcastle also keen.
Chelsea were offered the chance to sign the forward earlier this summer and he has been of interest to Chelsea since he was at Ajax.
