Ante Rebic and Divock Origi – who have been out for several weeks now – continued their work separately and not with the rest of the squad. They will be evaluated from day to day.

Having returned early from Coverciano due to a muscle problem, Sandro Tonali did some work on his own too but despite this, his presence against Empoli on Saturday shouldn’t be in doubt

Captain Davide Calabria started the week by training with the group for the whole session, which is an important recovery for Pioli given the injuries already suffered by Florenzi and Theo Hernandez

Theo Hernandez worked separately, as planned, but the left-back is feeling better and will try to shorten the recovery time. He will certainly miss the Empoli game, but will be evaluated at the beginning of next week with the hope of recovering him for on of the big matches against either Chelsea or Juventus.
