AC Milan are moving towards changing targets from Zlatan Ibrahimovic due to not receiving a response from the striker, a report claims.
Ibrahimovic is Milan’s first choice for January, but Paolo Maldini admitted ahead on Sunday that the situation is becoming more difficult as time passes, suggesting that alternatives may have to be looked at.
Although TMW stated that that Carlo Ancelotti wants to reunite with the Swede at Everton, Corriere.it claimed earlier on Thursday that in terms of his next club there are no other options for Zlatan but Milan.
Sky Italia have offered an update on the situation (via MilanNews.it) by claiming that were are reaching the last few days that Milan are willing to wait before changing objectives.
No ultimatums or deadlines have been set by the Rossoneri leadership, but if Ibrahimovic’s response does not arrive by Christmas Eve at the latest then Milan will withdraw their offer.
The 38-year-old was expected by the club’s hierarchy to welcome the offer with more enthusiasm, in order to start training in early December and be ready on January 6th for the restart of the season.
Contacts with Mino Raiola have been made in recent days, and a meeting before Christmas will take place to take stock of the situation.
