AC Milan’s next game isn’t for another eight days, but Sky journalist Manuele Baiocchini seems confident regarding what Paulo Fonseca will do with the attack in the three matches to come.

Alvaro Morata was the first of two strikers to sign this summer, from Atletico Madrid for €13m, and he made an instant impact against Torino in the first game of the season as he scored off the bench, but he worsened a muscle issue in that game and has been out since.

On deadline day Tammy Abraham came from Roma on loan and instantly slotted in as the deputy to the Spaniard, but he too made his mark very quickly as he came on in the second half against Lazio and set up Rafael Leao for the goal to make it 2-2.

Morata is back in training at Milanello, where Abraham is also working to get up to 100% after his late move. With Venezia to come after the break and then the games against Liverpool and Inter, managing the workloads of each will be key.

Baiocchini gave an update to Sky this evening and he spoke about how Milan’s two strikers are doing in view of the upcoming commitments, with his comments relayed by MilanNews.

“The feeling is that Abraham could play from the first minute, Morata has recovered from the problem suffered against Torino, so now he’s fine and is just looking to find his best condition,” he said.

“Abraham is already in form and he showed it against Lazio. I think he could play, also because after that there will be Liverpool and the derby, it’s likely that for the rotation he could play the Englishman against Venezia and Morata the other two.”
