Santiago Gimenez’s move to AC Milan is beginning to look likely, as the club have agreed a deal with the striker this afternoon.
In the past 18 months, there has been constant talk of a big-money striker joining AC Milan, and Gimenez’s name has been prominent throughout. The Mexican has intrigued the Rossoneri, and with summer choices not excelling, investment is needed urgently.
For this reason, the chances of a January arrival are possible, and with each day, an arrival seems more likely. However, the biggest steps have seemingly been made today.
Earlier today, reports suggested that the Diavolo were preparing to send their first official bid to Feyenoord, even though hypothetical sales are now not possible, which shows that the club are serious about their interest.
Now, Sky Sport (via Milan Press) report that an agreement has been found with the star, and so the ‘ball will be passed’ to the clubs to reach an agreement.
Gimenez, as the report suggests, will now put pressure on Feyenoord to let him move in January to Milan, although they would ideally like to keep the striker until June. However, it seems that his mind has been made up, so things could move quickly.
