Roma seem to have narrowed their search for the next CEO.
Journalist Matteo De Santis reports that Marzio Perrelli, Sky’s executive vice president, has become the leading candidate to fill the CEO role at Roma, which has been vacant since Lina Souloukou’s abrupt departure in late September.
Appointed as Roma’s CEO in April 2023, Souloukou resigned after facing significant fan backlash over her decision to dismiss manager and club icon Daniele De Rossi just four games into the season.
Perrelli has already met twice with Roma president Dan Friedkin in London, positioning him ahead of other contenders, including Inter CEO Alessandro Antonello and Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali.
The Giallorossi aim to finalise the CEO appointment prior to the end of the year.
