Daniel Maldini could be set for his second start of the season as Brahim Diaz is struggling ahead of tomorrow night’s game against Hellas Verona.

Speaking on Sky (via MilanNews), Peppe Di Stefano reported the latest news from Milanello ahead of tomorrow night’s game against Verona at San Siro. He recalled how Pioli – in the pre-match press conference – spoke of Brahim Diaz’s illness and therefore it seems a sign he will not be fit enough to start.

This morning in training at Milanello the Milan head coach tried Daniel Maldini in the attack with Ante Rebic and Alexis Saelemaekers on the wings and Olivier Giroud up front.

In midfield it is expected that the double pivot will be Sandro Tonali and Franck Kessie while in defence there will be new chances for Fode Ballo-Tourè, Alessio Romagnoli, Fikayo Tomori and Davide Calabria in front of Ciprian Tatarusanu. The decisive training session however will be tomorrow.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Tatarusanu; Calabria, Tomori, Romagnoli, Ballo-Touré; Tonali, Kessie; Saelemaekers, Maldini, Rebic; Giroud.
