Sky: Crystal Palace lead La Liga trio in race to sign Calabria

Sky Sport Italia reports that Crystal Palace are leading the race to sign free agent Davide Calabria, but Celta Vigo, Real Betis and Mallorca remain interested.
Premier League side Crystal Palace have moved forward in talks with Italian right-back Calabria.

The product of the Milan academy has been without a club since June 30, when Bologna refused to make his move permanent. He was on loan from Milan at the Stadio Dall’Ara, and his deal with the Rossoneri expired last month.
Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio says that Crystal Palace could ‘accelerate’ in the next few hours to secure the defender’s signature as a free agent.

La Liga sides Celta Vigo, Real Betis, and Mallorca remain involved in the race for Calabria, but Crystal Palace are believed to be the clear frontrunners.

Calabria has played for Milan and Bologna in Serie A, scoring nine goals in 221 appearances in Italy’s top flight.
