AFC Sudbury won the Eastern Women’s League Plate, while two other regional competitions held their finals day.

EASTERN –  Sudbury secure more silverware

League Plate – AFC Sudbury Division 1 South champions edged Hutton 2-1 in the final at Haverhill Rovers FC but had to come from behind to take the trophy. Jess Allen levelled five minutes after the break and Holly Kennard netted the winner 13 minutes from time.

EAST MIDLANDS – Derby do the double

Premier – Northampton Town completed an unbeaten campaign with three second-half goals at Notts County on Thursday, to finish ten points clear.

League Cup – Division 1 South winners Derby County Academy defeated third-placed Premier side Lincoln United to lift another trophy. The Rams twice found themselves two goals behind at Eastwood CFC but Marli Rhodes-Andrews’ 35-yard free kick made it 3-3, before a 79th-minute winner was scored during a goal-mouth scramble.

League Plate – Mansfield Town were 3-1 victors in the final over Rotherham United, Nikki Wigman, Ashleigh Evans and Georgia Gladwin with their goals.

LONDON & SOUTH EAST – Dorking seal second place

1 North – Dorking Wanderers finished runners-up ahead of Dulwich Hamlet Reserves, Charlotte Keenan with five goals in an 11-0 victory at Clapham United who lost all 16 games in the league. Sport London E Benfica and Hackney completed their fixtures with a 1-1 draw.

NORTH EAST – York hit seven-goal salvo after going 3-0 down

Premier – Champions York City were 7-3 winners at Wakefield despite an early brace from Trinity’s Neve Renwick, Holly Findlay hitting a hat-trick as her side stormed back from 3-0 down. South Shields went fourth with a 4-0 defeat of Wallsend BC. Sunderland West End had a walkover against Farsley Celtic FC and are scheduled to host Redcar Town this Thursday.

1 North – Chester le Street United have all but sealed second place after hitting Bishop Auckland for six. Washington welcome Boro Rangers for a midweek match this Wednesday.

WEST MIDLANDS – Stourbridge, Shifnal and Solihull enjoy cup success

Premier – Sutton Coldfield Town are second on goal-difference after beating Crusaders 4-0 but they need to avoid a four-goal defeat at home to champions Stourbridge on 29 May, otherwise they will relinquish their position to Lichfield City. Elsewhere, City of Stoke won the basement battle with Tamworth 6-1.

Premier Cup – Stourbridge were 5-0 winners over Kidderminster Harriers in the League Finals Day at Lichfield City FC. Harriers held out for over half-an-hour but Esme Moran struck a quickfire brace, Ellie McGovern blasted home a free kick, with Ruby Meeson and Hannah Fishwick also on target.

1 North Cup – Shifnal Town finished second to Shrewsbury Town in the table but sent them to a 3-0 defeat in the Divisional Cup Final.

1 South Cup – Solihull Sporting added the cup to their league trophy, when putting six goals past Leamington Lions in the final.
