The European Super League should never have happened. We all could have told the greedy owners that, but they decided to go behind our backs. The Glazers also completely threw Ole Gunnar Solskjaer under the bus on Sunday, which Sir Alex Ferguson is said to be unhappy about.

I wrote about the Glazers yesterday and how they caught Solskjaer blindsided on Sunday with the European Super League announcement. He wasn’t alone as no manager had a clue what the owners were discussing behind the scenes.

Plans were leaked shortly before United took on Burnley, causing disruption to the team’s preparations, although they still went out and secured three points in the Premier League.

It should have been Joel Glazer receiving heat from reporters, questioned and made explain his actions. Or does he only speak when his team wins the Super Bowl?

According to The Athletic, former United manager Sir Alex Ferguson was left angry with the way Solskjaer was thrown in front of the cameras and left blindsided by the whole project.

The report states: “Ferguson was understood to be unhappy by the way the club’s current manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, had been left to fend questions from broadcasters and journalists.”

Ferguson opposed the European Super League and had no involvement in the decision-making process.

Harry Maguire was also said to have been vocal in his frustration at the way the situation had been handled.
