Former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has said how he had a chat with Jurgen Klopp before the German arrived in England and at Liverpool, whilst also labelling our manager and Pep Guardiola as the two best coaches in the world.
Ferguson has been retired for eight years now but is still regularly involved in interviews to speak about the game, and it’s clear he has huge respect for Jurgen Klopp and the work he has done at Liverpool.
Ferguson said:
ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT
There’s obviously huge rivalry between Manchester United and Liverpool but Ferguson has never hid his respect for the Reds and this is another example of that.
Klopp and Guardiola have been the dominant forces in the last few years in the Premier League with Liverpool and Manchester City scrapping for the Premier League crown, whilst the Reds have also won the Champions League during the German’s time on Merseyside.
He’ll be itching to earn more silverware next season at Anfield, meanwhile, after what was a tough campaign last time out for obvious reasons.
The job he did to help guide us to third place, meanwhile, probably deserves more credit than it is getting.
