Reading pulled off one of the surprises of the day by beating league leaders Fulham at Craven Cottage.

Reading came into the game on the back of a win against Peterborough in midweek, something they’ve found hard to come by so far this season.

But it was one of their star players Ovie Ejaria who grabbed the headlines as he scored twice in Reading’s 2-1 against the Cottagers.

24 questions about some of Reading FC’s best ever strikers – Can get 100% correct?

Which of these strikers is Reading's record goalscorer across all competitions?

Jimmy Wheeler

Tommy Tait

He put Reading in the lead early in the first half before scoring shortly after the break, leaving Fulham with a lot of work to do.

Predictably, Fulham dominated the ball and chances, but Reading held on after new signing Rodrigo Muniz grabbed a goal back, but it wasn’t enough to get a result.

With John Swift shouldering most of the attacking load for the Royals so far this season, Ejaria’s return to fitness has been a welcome return for Veljko Paunovic, having missed the first few matches of the campaign.

With Ejaria putting in a man of the match display, Reading fans took to Twitter to voice their delight.
