The Blues have failed to make significant progress under Mauricio Pochettino. They lost the League Cup final against Liverpool, and their league position after 26 games signals a second consecutive mid-table finish is on the cards.

Chelsea are reportedly keeping faith with Pochettino for now but could be set for another change in the dugouts this summer.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has announced that he will leave the club this summer, and the search is on for a new coach to replace him.

Inzaghi is one of the names on their shortlist, alongside Xabi Alonso and Julian Nagelsmann.

Man United are also prepared for a possible managerial change this summer with Erik ten Hag’s side underperforming in his sophomore season.

The Red Devils have lost 15 of 36 games this term, and the new INEOS administration will consider cutting ties with the Dutchman if he does not weather the turbulent tide.

Inzaghi’s stock has skyrocketed after transforming Inter into a dominant force. He boasts an impressive pedigree, honing his skills with Lazio’s youth and first teams, winning multiple titles and showcasing a talent for nurturing young players.

He joined Inter in 2021, claiming the Supercoppa Italiana and Coppa Italia in his first season.

He repeated the trick last season, also reaching the final of the Champions League. This season, he has won the Supercoppa Italiana, and they are on course to claim the league title while boasting the best attacking and defensive record.

When the season is over, he could be on the move with England calling, having completed a successful tenure at Inter, but which club will he fit best?

Inzaghi is a perfect fit at Chelsea

Chelsea have had a long history of success with Italian managers, including Roberto Di Matteo, Gianluca Vialli, Maurizio Sarri, Antonio Conte and Carlo Ancelotti.

Inzaghi may be enticed to join a club where his compatriots have succeeded. At Chelsea, he would be required to stabilise a squad that has undergone a major upheaval.

The Blues are desperate to re-establish themselves in the upper echelons of the Premier League, and Inzaghi looks perfect for the job. His style of play fits like a glove.

The club won their last league title under Conte, playing in a back three and won the Champions League under Thomas Tuchel using the same set-up.

Stamford Bridge could be the perfect landing spot for Inzaghi.

Uncertain ground at Liverpool and United

Liverpool’s squad may not fit just as well, considering they have been rigoured for years in Klopp’s 4-3-3 formation.

Replacing the charismatic and passionate Klopp will be a tall order for any manager, and Inzaghi’s reserved demeanour may not resonate with the Anfield faithful.

United also presents a complex situation. The squad was built for different formations and might resist Inzaghi’s tactical approach.

The pressure and expectations at Old Trafford could also be a significant challenge.

Inzaghi is at a crossroads. The Premier League offers a lucrative opportunity, but the cultural fit and specific challenges of each club require careful consideration.

However, he is one of the most sought-after managers in the business, and whichever club he joins will get an inventive yet methodical gem of a coach.
