Silva Gets 7.5, Aubameyang With 7 | Chelsea Players Rated In Impressive Win Vs Crystal Palace

Chelsea clashed heads with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park earlier today as they looked to earn a positive result in the London derby. The Blues made a poor start to the game as they conceded the opening goal in the seventh minute when Odsonne Édouard found the back of the net. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang equalised for the West London club in the 38th minute as the two London sides went into the half-time interval with a 1-1 scoreline.
Conor Gallagher came off the bench and scored a wonderful goal for Chelsea in the 90th minute as Graham Potter’s men ended up securing a hard-fought 2-1 win on their travels.
GK: Kepa Arrizabalaga – 6.5/10
The Spanish keeper made a couple of solid saves at the back and did enough to restrict the Eagles from scoring more than once.
RB: Reece James – 7/10
The English talent kept a solid defensive shape at the back and made two good chances in the final third.
CB: Wesley Fofana – 6.5/10
He made a handful of important interceptions at the back and was accurate with his passing.
CB: Thiago Silva – 7.5/10
The Brazilian centre-back kept things solid when defending inside his half and was fortunate to stay on the field. He picked up an assist for setting up Aubameyang’s goal.
Chelsea
LB: Ben Chilwell – 7/10
He did his fair share of defending but offered very little in the final third.
CM: Mateo Kovacic – 6/10
Kovacic made one crucial interception but failed to get a foothold in the game.
CM: Jorginho – 6/10
The Italy international was mostly ineffective in the first half and got replaced in the 55th minute.
RAM: Raheem Sterling – 6.5/10
He had a few bright moments in the game and was unfortunate to hit the crossbar.
LAM: Mason Mount – 6.5/10
Mount showed a few flashes of what he is capable of but failed to be decisive in the final third.
ST: Kai Havertz – 6.5/10
The German sensation had a few lively moments up top but struggled to register a goal.
ST: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – 7/10
Aubameyang caused a few problems for the opposition and did well to get his name on the scoresheet in the 38th minute.

He added some energy to Chelsea’s midfield.
ST: Armando Broja – 6/10
Broja didn’t get a sniff at goal.
CM: Conor Gallagher – 7.5/10
He made a positive impact and scored the winning goal with a brilliant strike.
