As reported by L’Équipe and Mohamed Toubache-TER, EA Guingamp’s central defender Sikou Niakaté has failed a medical with Ligue 1 side Metz – the 22-year-old had been due to join Les Grenats on loan with an option to buy.
He has now returned to Brittany as a result – it is currently unclear as to the reason exactly why he failed the medical – he did undergo an eye operation in early April of this year.
