With Manchester City's well-documented struggles this season, it makes you wonder whether they have one eye on former striker Julian Álvarez and his form at Atlético de Madrid.
The Argentine star already has two goals in the first half of Atleti's LaLiga clash with Valencia this evening, with his strikes typically emphatic.
The deadly marksman now has a record of 19 goals in all competitions for the Spanish side, leading to the question of whether he is Europe's signing of the season.
And with seven goals away from home, only Robert Lewandowski (12), Kike García, Kyllian Mbappé and Ayoze Pérez (all 8) have more than Álvarez in LaLiga this season.
It certainly seems like Man City's loss is Atleti's gain in this instance.
