Signed shirts auction in aid of CITC! | OneFootball

City in the Community (CITC) has today (18 May) launched a new auction, giving you the chance to own a signed, authentic Manchester City 2021/22 Premier League shirt.

Fans are now able to bid on their chosen players, in support of Manchester City’s Academy coach Jamie Carr’s Nothing Ventured Campaign, which is fundraising for CITC’s mental health programme.

Undertaking two of the most extreme challenges in all sport, Jamie is to row the Atlantic Ocean solo in December after having completed the Marathon Des Sables (MDS) in the Sahara Desert in March.

Jamie will face these two monumental challenges in support of CITC’s mental health project ‘City Thrive’ and the Cancer Fund for Children, who support children and their families struggling to cope with cancer, back in Jamie’s home of Ireland.

The auction closes on Wednesday, 1 June, giving you two weeks to grab your shirt. So be quick!

Jamie’s challenges are in aid of two worthwhile causes. In support of CITC, Jamie is directly raising funds for CITC’s ‘City Thrive’ project to help improve the lives of thousands of local people.

City Thrive is delivered in partnership with the NHS and includes a new mental health curriculum, blending specially adapted football sessions with one-to-one mentoring and group workshops on mental health awareness, to improve mental wellbeing for people up to 25-years-of-age.

Additionally, specific mental health themed football sessions are delivered from youth clubs across Manchester, enabling participants to enjoy physical activity whilst also accessing the benefits of one-to-one mentoring and group workshops.
