Everton can seal their Premier League survival with a win over Crystal Palace tonight, but things have not gone well for them in the first half.
First, the Toffees fell behind to Jean-Philippe Mateta’s header after 16 minuted before Jordan Ayew doubled their lead nine minutes before the break.
What made that second goal even more bitter for Everton boss Frank Lampard is that Ayew was involved in an incident with Anthony Gordon which saw him receive a yellow card moments before doubling Palace’s lead.
But should he have seen red for this challenge?
Lampard will be tearing his hair out.
