Manchester United haven’t had things all their own way during their trip to Tyneside tonight.

The start of the second 45 minutes saw some improvement but the situation could’ve got a lot worse for the visitors in the 56th minute when Cristiano Ronaldo was booked for a swipe on Ryan Fraser.
However, there was clamour from the home crowd for the dismissal of the United forward for the ferocious nature of the challenge and it certainly seemed for a moment that referee Craig Pawson had a huge decision to make.
