Shoot-outs see USA lift SheBelieves Cup and Brazil finish third | OneFootball

USA defeated Canada on penalties to win the SheBelieves Cup, Brazil beat Japan to third place also after a shoot-out.

The US had trailed to an Adriana Leon goal at the break but turned the game around as Sophia Smith struck twice.

Leon levelled from the spot with four minutes to go, only for the US to then win 5-4 on sudden-death penalties.

Brazil won the third-place play-off 3-0 on penalties against Japan, after Cristiane cancelled out the opener from Mina Tanaka.

Angelina netted the decisive spot-kick, with Yui Hasegawa, Fuka Nagano and Kiko Seike all unable to convert for Japan.
