Has Des Walker played in the Premier League?

Yes No

Darren Moore has previously worked with John-Jules at Doncaster where he five goals in 18 games under him in the 2020/21 season.

The England Under-21 international spent the first half of the campaign on loan at Blackpool in the Championship where he made 12 appearances without scoring a goal.

Despite that, he was still praised by Blackpool manager Neil Critchley. Speaking after the player’s departure the Seasiders boss said: “I think he had a really good start to the season, I think he showed that.

“When you look at when he was playing Bournemouth away, Fulham at home, he’s played in some of the top games for us this season and acquitted himself well. It’s not just about your ability, you have to then work to try and get back in the team and Tyreece did.

“But he wasn’t getting the game time he wanted, so it was an honest conversation between us and Arsenal.”

The 20-year-old predominantly plays as a striker but he is a two-footed player and is capable of playing in a deeper or wide role giving Moore plenty of options in attack.

The Verdict

This would be a good signing for Wednesday. With John-Jules being a versatile player he gives Moore plenty of much needed options going forward and having worked with him before, that will certainly help getting the player settled.

Wednesday are desperate for an attacker to come in and hit the ground running, with Lee Gregory being the top scorer with eight goals this season and the nearest player to him has four.

John-Jules adds a much needed goal threat, as well as the ability to create which will certainly help those around him.

As a result, this could be a welcome boost to the Owls’ hopes of claiming a play-off place and potentially promotion this season.
