Brentford midfielder Myles Peart-Harris has emerged as a loan target for Sheffield Wednesday, Huddersfield Town, QPR, and Portsmouth, as reported by TEAMtalk.

The three Championship sides interested in the midfielder are all facing a tough second half of the season as they try to survive relegation to League One.

Both Sheffield Wednesday and QPR have had managerial changes this season, and this transfer window is the first chance they have to make changes to their squad.

The Owls have been a breath of fresh air under Danny Rohl and find themselves with a great chance of surviving relegation. Meanwhile, QPR have performed better under Marti Cifuentes, but results have slipped in recent weeks.

They will both have their eye on closing the gap to Huddersfield Town, who are sitting just above the relegation zone under the guidance of Darren Moore.

Portsmouth may be at a disadvantage in this race, as they are in League One, but they will hope the potential promotion campaign will be enough to win the signature of Peart-Harris.

All four clubs will be interested in improving their squads this month, but for different reasons, and with funding potential limited, the loan market may be where they turn.

So according to TEAMtalk, Sheffield Wednesday, Huddersfield, QPR, and Portsmouth are all interested in signing Myles Peart-Harris on loan.

The report states that all four sides have spoken to Brentford about the possibility of taking the midfielder on loan in this transfer window.

The Premier League side signed the 21-year-old from Chelsea in the summer of 2021, and he now finds himself searching for regular game time.

Myles Peart-Harris came through the academy at Chelsea, so when he got his move to Brentford, it was thought he could make it into the first team picture.

The midfielder was a standout performer for the Blues in Premier League 2, but he has struggled to continue that form at Brentford.

Peart-Harris played twice for the club in the 2021/22 season, both appearances coming in the FA Cup and EFL Cup.

Then last season, he was sent out on loan to Forest Green Rovers, where he made 47 appearances, scoring six goals and recording four assists.

The 21-year-old stayed with the Premier League side in the first half of the campaign, during which he has played three times in the league and once in the FA Cup.

His appearances in the Premier League have been him coming on from the bench, with his total game time adding to 11 minutes. But he did play 45 minutes in the club’s recent 1-1 draw with Wolves in the FA Cup.

Myles Peart-Harris is in need of regular game time

A loan move in this transfer window makes perfect sense for the Brentford midfielder, as at his age he needs to be playing more football than he is doing.

There is a big difference between first-team football and academy football, so if he can secure a move to any of these EFL sides, Myles Peart-Harris would be gaining the experience he needs to become a starter at Brentford.

All of these sides are in need of improving their midfield, and if they can secure his signature, it could significantly improve their chances of securing their end goal.
