Kieffer Moore has been linked with a move from Sheffield United to Wrexham this summer.

According to The Star, the Wales international is admired at the Racecourse Ground following their promotion to the Championship.

Moore joined Sheffield United last summer from Bournemouth, and featured 27 times under Chris Wilder in the regular league campaign as the team fought for promotion to the Premier League.

The 32-year-old scored five times, with the Blades coming third in the table before suffering defeat in the play-off final to Sunderland.

£1.5m Kieffer Moore transfer claim

When asked about a potential price tag for Moore, FLW’s Sheffield United fan pundit Jimmy, from Blades Ramble, claimed that £1.5 million might be enough for a sale.

He believes cashing in on the striker might make sense given his wages, if he’s going to be second or third choice under Ruben Selles this season.

“If we can get probably our money back, anything like £1.5 million, would be great business for Sheffield United,” Jimmy told Football League World.

“I really like him as a squad player for us, but he’s on big money.

“He’s rumoured to be £30,000-a-week, and he’s certainly not going to be our first-choice striker.

“He’s not really worked for us thus far at United, but he’s never really got a steady run in the side in terms of fitness as well as anything else.

“So it’s right that he’s going to be our second or even third choice striker this year, at £30,000-a-week, it’d probably make sense.

“And what is he 32, nearly 33? I think £1.5 million would be a really good deal for the club.”

Sheffield United will begin their Championship campaign on 9 August with a home clash against Bristol City.

Moore sale could make sense for Sheffield United

If Wrexham come in with an offer in the region of £1.5 or 2 million then Sheffield United should consider a sale.

He will be behind Tyrese Campbell, and maybe even Ryan Oné in the pecking order next season most likely. Plus there's Tom Cannon in the squad as another option in the No.9 position.

Given he is about to turn 33, getting cash for him now might make more sense than keeping hold of him as a rotation option.
