Sheffield United have completed the signing of defender Jess Reavill.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Blades this afternoon.

The 19-year-old returns to Bramall Lane for a second spell as a Blade. Reavill previously spent time in the Sheffield United academy in her youth before going on to get her first taste of senior football with Leicester City. The defender also had a dual-registration spell with West Bromwich Albion before joining Stoke City last summer.

Reavill was a regular for Stoke City last season. She made 30 appearances for The Potters in all competitions in which she scored three goals.

The player has unfinished business at Sheffield United and she will be hoping to enjoy a successful season with The Blades this term.

After re-joining Sheffield United, Reavill said “I’m really happy to be coming back. I was here as a 15-year-old in the academy and towards the end of that season, I started to get around the first team, so for me this feels like an itch which needs scratching.”

Reavill is Sheffield United’s sixth signing of the summer transfer window. The Blades are expected to add many more new faces to their squad before the new season gets underway.
