Sheffield United moved 11 points clear of third in the Championship’s race for promotion following a 3-1 win against Stoke City this afternoon.

Iliman Ndiaye opened the scoring on only nine minutes, with Jayden Bogle’s brace eventually proving to be the difference at Bramall Lane.

The second of those goals was late in the day, after Nick Powell had made for a nervy second-half, striking on the stroke of half-time.

Here’s how we rated Paul Heckingbottom’s side:

Wes Foderingham – 7: Dealt with everything he needed to well enough, with his handling nice and clean in the second-half to hold Lewis Baker and Jacob Brown efforts.

Jayden Bogle – 7: The match-winner for Sheffield United, who showed real desire to get forwards from right wing-back. Between him and George Baldock (absent today), Heckingbottom has a real headache.

Anel Ahmedhodzic- 7: Stepped out of defence well in the first-half and got up and down the right in the second.

John Egan – 8: Was superb during Sheffield United’s dominant first-half, winning so many duels. Led with his usual style in the second-half as Stoke grew into the game.

Jack Robinson – 6: Big block late in the first-half, but that was overshadowed by Powell scoring just a minute later. Part of a back-three that eventually held on.

Max Lowe – 7: Teed up Ndiaye for the opening goal and put in an athletic performance at left wing-back.

Oliver Norwood – 6: Set some early tempo for Sheffield United and made them tick during the first-half. However, couldn’t bring his usual composure to the second-half and it made for a tough 45 minutes.

Sander Berge – 5: Poor work against the ball in the build-up to Powell’s goal and wasted a glorious chance for 3-1 late in the game. Not anywhere near his best.

James McAtee – 6: Started brightly and played a role in Ndiaye’s opener, as well as going close with a shot of his own. Faded and replaced before the hour.

Iliman Ndiaye – 7: Scored, set up McAtee with some typically vibrant play, held the ball up well and worked hard out of possession. A joy to watch and hopefully his injury isn’t too serious.

Billy Sharp – 6: Led the line really well early in the game, linking with Ndiaye, but the ball struggled to stick in the final third after half-time as Stoke improved. Lack of chances he usually thrives on.

Adam Davies – Not used.

Chris Basham – Not used.

Ismaila Coulibaly – Not used.

Tommy Doyle – 5: Came into game at a difficult time and didn’t have an immediate impact, but did tee up Bogle’s second goal with a perfectly weighted cross.

Ben Osborn – 5: Brought on to replace Sharp and bring some energy to the side, which helped them over the line.

Andre Brooks – Not used.

Daniel Jebbison – 5:
