Sheffield United owner Prince Abdullah bin Mosaad bin Abdulaziz al Saud has suggested that he would be open to bringing Iliman Ndiaye (23) back to the club.

Having got Sheffield United back to the Premier League, Ndiaye left to join Olympique de Marseille in the summer, in what was a dream move for the Senegal international. “The emotions were high. Obviously, it is a childhood dream to play for Marseille. Of course, I had played for them before, but playing in the stadium, in front of all the fans, was unbelievable. But now, I have had to put those emotions aside and really focus on my football in general in Marseille,” Ndiaye told Get French Football News in an exclusive interview.

Since his return to Marseille, Ndiaye has one goal and three assists in 23 games in all competitions, however, he is being linked with a departure this January. Foot Mercato have revealed an interest from Everton, however, should they make a move, they could be rivalled by Premier League rivals Sheffield United.

Asked about a Ndiaye return, Sheffield United’s owner replied, “You know that I can’t talk about players that play elsewhere, but believe me, we are considering all scenarios. We’re discussing everything. I can’t say whether he will come back or not. But I can say: ‘ Use your imagination’. Ndiaye is reportedly happy at Marseille and is not open to a mid-season departure away from the Vélodrome.
