Whites captain and provider for the first goal Shauna Legge, spoke after the final whistle about the performance.
“We always want to win any game that we play, it did feel a bit gritty but I thought we managed it really well and I was just applauding everybody at the end.
“We’ve got a great group of girls,” Legge said when speaking about the new additions. “We’ve added some really good girls and players.
“It’s important to be a good player, but also person too - I’m happy that they’re here.”
Then look ahead to Cheadle next up, she added: “We want to win every game. We know they’re a tough team, but there’s no easy game in this league.
“We know what they bring and what we can bring, so hopefully we will get the result we want.”
