Herein lie two plausible solutions: either the player must make peace with a salary reduction, or Barcelona must assume a lion’s share of his remuneration.

Barça, for their part, see Sevilla as a favourable destination for Fati, but the move is far from easy to complete.

Sevilla need to do more
