Developments during the 2nd-half of Sevilla’s La Liga meeting with Celta Vigo on Sunday have piqued widespread attentions across Spain.

As much comes after two headline members of the Nervionenses’ ranks were at the heart of a heated touchline row.

Sevilla marked their return to action a short time ago, welcoming the aforementioned Celta to The Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán.

The day’s hosts headed into proceedings hopeful of keeping alive a solid recent run of just one defeat in seven.

When all was said and done, however, Sevilla’s efforts towards as much came up short.

Instead, after Youssef En-Nesyri put Quique’s troops in front inside the 20-minute mark, a quickfire double on the part of Celta Vigo pair Carles Pérez and Jørgen Strand Larsen ensured that it was the relegation-battling Celestes who emerged on the right side of a 2-1 result.

And yet, as alluded to above, their eventual defeat marked just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Sevilla’s problems on Sunday.

In addition, the Andalusian outfit saw boss Quique and star frontman En-Nesyri come close to a physical altercation on the sideline.

After the latter was hooked from proceedings on the hour mark, goalscorer En-Nesyri made abundantly clear his frustration, in lashing out and kicking a number of water bottles in front of the home dugout.

Manager Quique, bemused by the actions of his striker, in turn made a beeline for En-Nesyri, with a heated back-and-forth having seen Lucas Ocampos forced to step in to separate the pair.

Just another low point in what, all told, has proven something of a nightmare campaign at the Sánchez Pizjuán.
