An up-and-coming member of the midfield ranks at La Liga outfit Sevilla is all set to take his talents to France on a permanent basis.
That’s according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, who points towards Stanis Idumbo as the player in question.
Idumbo, for his part, is a 20-year-old attacking midfielder who broke into the first-team picture at Sevilla last season.
The Belgian racked up 14 La Liga appearances, chipping in with a goal and an assist along the way.
And in the process, Idumbo evidently did enough to pique the attentions of one of French football’s leading clubs.
This comes amid confirmation that a deal is now in place between Sevilla and AS Monaco for the youngster to join the latter.
As per a report from journalist Fabrizio Romano:
‘Stanis Idumbo to AS Monaco, here we go! Permanent deal agreed for the midfielder to join Ligue 1 side. Travel scheduled this afternoon and medical tests to follow.’
