A member of the attacking ranks at La Liga outfit Sevilla is on the verge of a departure from the club.
That’s according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, who points towards Kelechi Iheanacho as the player in question.
Frontman Iheanacho for his part only put pen to paper on terms with Sevilla last summer, following the expiration of his contract with Leicester City.
Safe to say, however, that the move has since not exactly worked out, for either party.
Across just nine La Liga appearances (five starts) in the colours of the Nervionenses to date, Iheanacho has failed to find the net even once.
With the Sevilla brass having since secured winter reinforcements up top in the form of Akor Adams, speculation had begun to mount that the club’s summer addition could in turn be on the move before the window slams shut.
And, as alluded to above, such a move for Iheanacho now appears to be inching ever closer.
As per a report from Fabrizio Romano, the Nigerian, and Aston Villa winger Samuel Iling-Junior, are both on the verge of joining Championship side Middlesbrough on loan:
