The powers that be at La Liga outfit Sevilla are growing increasingly confident of striking a deal for a recently-departed member of the attacking ranks at Leicester City.
That’s according to Relevo, who point towards Kelechi Iheanacho as the player in question.
It is of course common knowledge across Spain at this point that the Sevilla brass are on the lookout for reinforcements up top.
As much comes after the Nervionenses opted to cash in on star frontman Youssef En-Nesyri, in a bid to alleviate their financial problems.
The hunt for En-Nesyri’s replacement, as a result, has this week been kicked firmly into gear.
And, as alluded to above, this weekend, a new name has positioned itself front and centre in the chatter surrounding ongoings in Nervión.
As per a report from Relevo:
‘Sevilla have set themselves the priority of signing a striker and the best placed at the moment is Kelechi Iheanacho, as reported by Sky Sport and confirmed by Relevo.’
The board at The Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium, in fact, have already gone as far as to table an offer to the striker and his entourage.
This comes with Iheanacho available for free, following the expiration of his contract with Leicester City.
The Nigerian also has an offer on the table from Bundesliga outfit Stuttgart, but is understood to favour a move to La Liga.
